What is a passkey and how do I use one to log in?

Passkeys generate a unique key on your device, offering a secure alternative to traditional password logins. They’re designed to enhance security and simplify the login process, as they can’t be shared or stored externally in any way. Some of the benefits of this new authentication method include:

  • Enhanced security: passkeys use biometric data or a PIN, which are considered more secure than traditional passwords. This reduces the risk of unauthorized access to your NETELLER account.
  • Convenience: no need to remember complex passwords or have the NETELLER mobile app installed. Simply use your fingerprint, face recognition, or a PIN to log in quickly and easily.
  • Passkeys never expire. You can use them for as long as you want.
  • Fast access: log in to your NETELLER account instantly without the hassle of typing in username and password.
  • Protection against phishing: as you don't enter a password, there's no risk of it being stolen through phishing attacks.
  • Multi-device support: you can set up passkeys on multiple devices, allowing you to securely access your NETELLER account from any of your trusted devices.

Your biometric data isn’t shared with us and doesn’t leave your device.

To use a passkey for your NETELLER account make sure that:

  • your browser supports passkeys;
  • the device you want to use a passkey on supports biometric authentication (such as fingerprint or facial recognition) or allows the setting of a secure PIN;
  • the device you’re using for the passkey is trusted by NETELLER. If it isn’t, check the “Trust this device and don’t ask me again to verify it” option when you log in with your username and password;
  • you’ve set a Secure ID for your NETELLER account;
  • you have an active (not restricted) NETELLER account. If you don't have one, you can sign up at NETELLER's registration page.
